Computer science students at the University of Maryland recently published a paper about their efforts to create a garment that will prevent artificial intelligences from easily recognizing the user as a human. It’s called the <a href="https://www.cs.umd.edu/~tomg/projects/invisible/">Invisibility Cloak</a>.If I understand their project correctly (and that’s a big ‘if’), they were able to determine what visual qualities allowed an AI to detect a human, then used that data to create an image that the AI would be strongly disinclined to recognize as a human.
