Computer science students at the University of Maryland recently published a paper about their efforts to create a garment that will prevent artificial intelligences from easily recognizing the user as a human. It’s called the Invisibility Cloak.
If I understand their project correctly (and that’s a big ‘if’), they were able to determine what visual qualities allowed an AI to detect a human, then used that data to create an image that the AI would be strongly disinclined to recognize as a human. Printing this image on a sweatshirt would usually induce the test AI to skip over a person wearing that sweatshirt.
