Flying Car AirCar ProtoType Completes Its First Inter-City FlightIt's 2021, where's my flying car?Well, it's almost here, thanks to Slovakian company Klein Vision who has just completed the inaugural inter-city flight of its new AirCar. The 35-minute flight on June 28, 2021 between the Nitra and Bratislava airports fulfilled a key test for the two-seater vehicle. The AirCar Prototype 1 is equipped with a 160 HP BMW engine with fixed propeller and a ballistic parachute. After its test flight landing, its inventor Professor Stefan Klein clicked a button to tuck the wings and transform the aircraft into a sports car in under three minutes."This flight starts a new era of dual transportation vehicles. It opens a new category of transportation and returns the freedom originally attributed to cars back to the individual," said Professor Klein after exiting the AirCar cockpit in Bratislava in a press release, "AirCar is no longer just a proof of concept; flying at 8,200ft at a speed of 100kt, it has turned science fiction into a reality."
