This scientific report published recently in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences suggests that we have been domesticating fowl as long as 18,000 years ago. And not just any fowl, but large and deadly cassowaries that can kill a human if it chooses to do so.It seems that humans understood the concept of imprinting early in our life here on Earth. (Imprinting is the phenomenon when the hatched chick decides that its parent is the first thing it sees.)
