Sony's Cat Mascot Jumps Out from the 3D Illusion Shinjuku Cross Vision onto Another BillboardIt looks like a giant cat jumped out from a billboard! With the rise of 3D illusion billboards for advertising in Japan, Sony Network Communications used two LED screens to transport its feline mascot and catch the attention of passersbys. The internet service provider celebrated one million subscribers on its NURO internet service with the appearance of Nyaro, their cat mascot. The animation showed Nyaro waking up from a whiff of food, and jumping to the next LED screen to chase the scent. The display is the first time two screens were used for a single sequence, much to the enjoyment of their customers and the Internet. Instant promotion for them as well!  Image credit: Cross Shinjuku Vision#sony #cats #3Dillusions #Tokyo #3Dbillboards #advertisement
Obey the Cat Street LightsStreet Art Utopia passes along this image from Zelenogradsk, Russia. That’s a coastal town in the Kaliningrad exclave. We are, of course, required to obey our cats. We must stop when they tell us to stop and go when they tell us to go. Whether cats would obey these street lights is another question.Zelenogradsk, we are informed by the dubious news site The Moscow Times, is known for its cats. The city government put up these lights in 2019, built a statue to honor cats, and added a “chief cat” to the city staff in a concerted effort to brand itself as the “city of cats”.#Russia #cats
