That’s not a race car, that’s a very special lawnmower!
Meet Tony Edwards, the man responsible for creating the world’s fastest lawnmower. The mechanical engineer took the Guinness World Record title for his creation, which took two years to build.
The Shropshire resident managed to produce a lawnmower that ran at the speed of 143.19 mph, which defeated two previous speedy lawnmowers, Honda’s 116mph lawnmower along with Norway’s lawnmower that ran at 132 mph. Edwards built the whole thing from scratch. According to him, “the front suspension is from a kit car and the rear suspension is from a trike conversion kit." In addition, the engine is from a Suzuki motorbike.
The best part about his creation? It cuts grass. Not only is the lawnmower for show, it can also work perfectly fine in someone’s backyard.
