Portable Urinals for Women

Core77 introduces us to Peequal, a portable urinal system designed with female anatomy in mind. British designers Amber Probyn and Hazel McShane designed it after working at music festivals during summers. They experienced the very long wait lines that women’s toilet facilities can experience.

Their Peequal design is a circular arrangement of six squat toilets. There’s a lockable door for each to ensure safety, but there’s little privacy: each user’s head should be visible to the outside world. This ensure that no one is wasting time in a stall while other people are waiting in line.

The pods can be flat-packed for easy transportation and are modular, allowing for a variety of creative arrangements.
