Instagram member @lowereeeatsside, a foodie who is exploring the cuisine of the Lower East Side of New York City, discovered this marvel at the bakery Petit Chou. Although “chou” is the French word for “cabbage”, this name is a reference to choux pastry dough, which is an airy dough suitable for cream puffs and eclairs.
This novel snack is a brownie baked (presumably for the second time) within a puffy danish. It’s not on the bakery’s menu, so it’s likely to be a temporary, special item. I’d better go get one while it’s still available.
