Low Water Levels Reveal The Hidden Beauty of Glen Canyon
Glen Canyon, also known as "America's lost national park" reveals its most beautiful state when its water levels are low.As water levels continue to decrease, natural wonders continue to emerge. The Cathedral in the Desert is described as a giant slot canyon that opens into a giant cavern. The serene pool was formed by cascading waterfalls. Many define this place as quiet, almost holy, with a sort of a built-in cathedral. Thus the space was given the name Cathedral in the Desert. These wonders were actually exposed because of a massive drought across the American West. The unfortunate event of the drought has revealed something truly beautiful. While people are hoping for an end to the drought, in the meantime they are also appreciating the waterfalls, grottos, and glens that Glen Canyon has kept hidden from them.Image credit: Lincoln Graves#GlenCanyon #America #Reservoir
