Cercle, a Bicycle/Chair/Bed/Tent Combo by Bernhard SobottaThis strange looking vehicle is a bicycle/chair/bed/tent combo created by Bernhard Sobotta, who thought of concept when he was wondering how he could combine a bicycle with a hammock. And so the Cercle was born: a bicycle with a large circular frame that houses a fold up desk and chair that lies flat into a bed. Self-Balancing Electric BicycleEngineer Zhihui Jun spent four months' worth of weekends to hack together this self-balancing electric bicycle. The bicycle is also equipped with a depth-sensing camera and a LIDAR sensor so it could avoid obstacles and navigate traffic. From Synced:As revealed by CAD modeling, Zhi Hui Jun’s manless bicycle is equipped with two larger brushless motors and a steering gear, which are used to drive the car to move and keep the balance. In terms of sensors, the car is equipped with an RGBD depth camera, accelerometer, gyroscope, and a LiDAR to detect the surrounding environment and the car’s condition; the battery uses a 6S model power lithium battery (2~3 battery hours of battery life); the main control computing module is mounted behind the seat. Zhihui Jun used a combination of 3D printing and machine tool processing to get the required hardware parts.#bicycle #selfbalancingZhihui Jun explained the build in this video clip below (in Chinese):
