World's Longest Car

In 1986, this 100 foot long car broke Guinness World Record as the longest car in existence. Following the achievement, The American Dream, as it was called by its original builder Jay Ohrberg, enjoyed years in the spotlight. It made a lot of movie appearances. But as interest in it declined over time, the American Dream fell into disrepair. Many decades later, it ended up practically a junk pile in a New Jersey warehouse.

But it was about to see another day in the sun. The car was discovered by auto museum owner Michael Manning, who bought it off of eBay and then restored it to its former glory. Manning overhauled the rusty ride, making it as good as new again. The whole process of making American Dream great again took three years to complete.

The car is now on display at Dezerland Park Orlando’s Auto Museum in Orlando, Florida.
