Colossal brings to our attention this amazing video made for the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. It was part of the September 5 closing ceremony in which the Olympic responsibility was passed off to the 2024 games in Paris. Sadeck Waff, a dancer and choreographer, orchestrated the 128 performers. Waff began his career as a master of pop and lock dancing and you can see that influence in the arm movements that he arranged for these dancers.
Take note of the young man with the prosthetic arm. That’s Oxandre Peckeu, who received the high-tech Hero Arm in 2019. It has sensors that detect muscular contractions. This allows him to manipulate the bionic hand.
