A good ramen restaurant offers a wide variety of toppings and mixes, but Sora News 24 reports that one restaurant has now beat out all of the rest. The Furanken restaurant (the name appears to be, appropriately, a pun related to “Frankestein”) in Osaka offers in the new year a bowl that comes topped with an entire soft serve ice cream cone. It’s called the Amakara Miso Ramen.
“Amakara” means “sweet and spicy.” The sweet element comes from the ice cream cone, of course, which has chocolate sauce and seaweed flecks. I’d like to see the American chain Dairy Queen offer something like this here in the United States.
