Dr. Matthew Steilen is a professor of legal history and constitutional law at the University of Buffalo in New York. Like all experienced teachers, he has developed a certain style and body of mannerisms that make his teaching recognizable, if not predictable. In fact, he’s so well known for particular phrases and tropes, that his students made a bingo game to use during his lectures. Apparently, he’s famous for swearing a lot, using some Latin, and asking for more than one student to try asking a question.
Steilen is taking it all in stride. On Twitter, he comments, “. . . I’ve never been more pleased.”
