This "Literary Clock" Quotes Literature for Every Minute of the Day

I happened to grab a screenshot at 12:49 PM, which is why I ended up with a quotation from Bomber, a 1970 Len Deighton novel set during World War II. It’s considered to be among the best English language novels since World War II and inspired the Motörhead 1979 song and album “Bomber.”

If you're not impressed by the line that you read, then wait just 60 seconds and you'll see another option. The Literary Clock is a project launched by the British newspaper The Guardian in 2011 as a celebration of the enormous scope of fiction. Every minute of the day is mentioned in fiction at some point in the corpus.
