This Is an Infant Evacuation Vest

Rain Noe of Core77 introduces us to this odd garment that serves one purpose: to allow a child caregiver to carry up to three babies at a time while keeping his or her hands free. The Dutch company Baby Mover offers this garment in both vest and apron form for childcare providers who prepare for emergency situations.

If both hands are free and the person is strong enough, he or she could also pick up a baby in each hand, thus providing enormous cargo carrying capacity. The caregiver becomes the human equivalent of a passenger ferry.

I can see other potential uses for those of us who do not have small children around. This vest could permit me go to about my day while keeping three large burritos at hand for routine snacking.
