The Gospel of Matthew holds that three wise men (probably mystics and astrologers) visited the newborn Jesus in Bethlehem and presented with gifts of gold, frankincense (a type of tree resin), and the perfume myrrh. Catholics and other western churches celebrate this event annually on January 6 as the Feast of the Epiphany.
On this occasion, street artist TVboy La Mostra created this mural showing the three wise men presenting different sorts of gifts. Well, possibly the same gifts but packaged differently. If I needed to get gold, frankincense, and myrrh, then I’d consider AliExpress, eBay, and Amazon as potential sources.
