SpaceX's Starship is now the world's tallest rocket.
Yesterday, on August 6, 2021, SpaceX stacked its Starship SN20 spacecraft on top of the Super Heavy rocket called Booster 4. At 120 m (395 feet) tall, the fully stacked rocket is the tallest in the world. It's actually even taller if you consider the launch pad (145 m or 475 feet). Stacking the spacecraft is part of the preparation for an upcoming orbital test flight.
The previous record was NASA's Saturn V rocket at 111 m (363 feet).
To let the world know, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted "Starship Fully Stacked" along with four images of the stacking process.
