Ornate Wood Mosaics That Use No Dyes

Ap MacKenzie of Woodland Porpoise Workshop is a master woodworker. His pieces are astonishingly vivid works of art. Lately, he’s been making finely cut mosaics made of wood. He doesn’t dye the wood, but instead chooses woods that have just the right natural colors, such as these that form the Sheriff of Nottingham from Disney’s Robin Hood.

MacKenzie is especially fond of Disney and chose the VHS tape box cover of Mickey’s Christmas Carol for this piece.

More recent works of fiction find their way into his workshop, too, such as this series of landscapes from Harry Potter.

Additionally, MacKenzie is an artist in stained glass and brass. Here is a combination of those two media and wood in the form of a Millennium Falcon sculpture.
