Indoor Skydiving is Dancing on Air

The World Indoor Skydiving Championship was held a couple of weeks ago at Tatralandia resort in Slovakia. Polish skydiver Maja Kuczyńska took second place in the solo freestyle event with this jaw-dropping routine.

My routine for world championships 2023! Definitely my favorite so far :)))

Kuczyńska makes the very difficult task of negotiating a roaring wind tunnel look effortless. She explained that the airflow in the chamber is constant, and her elevation depends on how much of her body's surface area is exposed to the wind rushing up. So she not only has to dance athletically and look graceful, but also always be aware of her orientation in the wind tunnel. Kuczyńska says you cannot hear anything in the chamber but roaring wind, so she wears earbuds under her helmet to hear the music. Learn more about Kuczyńska's indoor skydiving moves here. But she also skydives from a plane just as artfully, and you can see her in action at TikTok. -via Digg
