Crafting visually ornate and artistically rendered pasta has become a popular activity on the subreddit /r/food. User itssjulss has been experimenting with ravioli making recently. Here is his/her raviolo pressed with flower petals and sprigs of dill. It’s filled with locally produced ricotta, freshly ground black pepper, parmigiano Reggiano, and fresh basil and shaped with a wooden mold purchased on Etsy.
itssjulss reports that the pressed dill and petals stay in after cooking. Here’s a photo of the finished result served in butter. In fact, it’s so well made that the pressed leaves stay in place during consumption.
